Some print pieces are designed to be seen. Others are designed to be experienced.
That is exactly what made Feel the Drop such a standout collaboration between Branded By Woods, DSCOOP, and Harris & Bruno. Centered around Larry the Bear and built as a card nested inside a folded envelope, the piece was designed to create interaction from the very first touch. It combined bold printed design, layered embellishment, and tactile storytelling in a way that felt playful, immersive, and highly intentional.
How the Collaboration Took Shape
“Feel the Drop came together in one of the most organic and creatively energized ways possible.” -Courtney Werne, Branded by Woods
Feel the Drop came together in one of the most organic and creatively energized ways possible. What started as a campaign concept around Larry the Bear, the unofficial DJ and host personality for DSCOOP Edge Rockies 2026, quickly evolved into something much bigger.
Branded By Woods & DSCOOP’s Chris Hyde originally developed Larry as a custom illustrated piece, but the character soon took on a bolder poly-art style that better matched the energy and personality behind the concept. Once excitement around Larry started to build, Harris & Bruno joined the collaboration to help bring the piece to life through digital embellishment.
From there, the project turned into a tactile self-promotion piece built around one clear idea: print should be felt, not just seen.

Where Print and Embellishment Met
Branded By Woods & Chris Hyde created the CMYK foundation, bringing Larry the Bear to life with a strong personality and visual rhythm. Harris & Bruno then collaborated on the embellishment strategy, helping transform the printed artwork into a more dimensional experience through gold foil, clear holographic foil, and textured spot coating.
Rather than approaching embellishment as something added at the end, both teams worked together to make it part of the storytelling from the start. The result was a piece where each effect had a purpose and each layer contributed to the overall mood and experience.
During the design process, ideas moved quickly and collaboratively. Effects were developed in real time, and as Courtney put it, “It felt less like handing work off to a vendor and more like collaborating with fellow creatives who genuinely understand how design and embellishment work together.”
That kind of collaboration is what makes embellished print so powerful. When design and finishing are developed together, the final piece does more than look premium. It creates energy, interaction, and memorability.

Built to Be Felt
Feel the Drop uses embellishment to create movement and atmosphere throughout the piece. Gold foil adds warmth and premium contrast. Clear holographic foil introduces light play that shifts as the piece is handled. Textured spot coating brings physical depth, encouraging people to slow down, explore the surface, and engage with the design in a more meaningful way. That is where print becomes memorable.
The Branded By Woods team described the final result as a piece where every embellishment had a clear role to play, in that “Every embellishment serves a purpose, energetic, immersive, and unforgettable. Nothing feels excessive. The tactile elements amplify the emotion of the design and transform the piece into an experience.”
That idea gets to the heart of what makes this collaboration work. The embellishment is not there just to decorate. It is there to reinforce the creative concept and help the piece deliver a stronger sensory impact.
Why Tactile Print Matters
In a world where so much communication is fleeting and screen-based, tactile print has the ability to create pause. It invites interaction. It holds attention longer. It creates a physical connection that digital experiences often cannot match.
This is exactly what Feel the Drop demonstrates. Texture, foil, and movement work together to turn print into something immersive and interactive. The piece creates a moment of an experience while delivering its message.
That is the real value of digital embellishment. It gives designers and print providers the ability to build emotion and engagement directly into the printed piece itself.
