Harris & Bruno ZRE + HP Indigo 18K: Sheetfed Coating Sample Kit

4:00

Digital printing continues to give commercial printers greater flexibility in the types of work they can produce. The finishing process needs that same flexibility.
For PRINTING United Expo 2026 in Las Vegas, Harris & Bruno partnered with HP and GPA to produce a new sample kit featuring print from the HP Indigo 18K Digital Press, coating from the Harris & Bruno ExcelCoat ZRE, and GPA Symbol Freelife 150# Matte Cover.
Built around a Las Vegas theme for the show, the collection demonstrates how a wide range of aqueous and UV coatings can transform the same printed platform into distinctly different finished pieces.
Ten Coatings. Ten Different Results.
The kit features ten Synergy coatings selected to demonstrate the range of finishes possible with chamber-anilox coating technology:
Synergy AQ Gloss, AQ Matte, AQ Soft Touch, AQ Playing Card, UV Gloss, UV Matte, UV Reticulated, UV Photo Finish, UV Silver Glitter, and UV Fine Grit.
From subtle changes in gloss and texture to highly tactile specialty effects, each sample shows how coating can become part of the design rather than simply a protective layer.
Using the same coating lineup featured in our recent HP PageWide Advantage 2200 sample kit also demonstrates how these applications can translate across both sheetfed and high-speed web production environments.
Coating Built for A3 and B2 Digital Print
Short-run digital production is built around flexibility, fast turnaround, and the ability to move between applications quickly. Pairing the HP Indigo 18K with the ZRE extends that same flexibility into coating, giving digitally printed work a straightforward path to a wider range of finished effects.
The ZRE was developed to bring Harris & Bruno chamber-anilox coating technology to A3 and B2 sheetfed workflows in a compact, accessible platform. It gives digital printers a dedicated way to add aqueous, UV, soft touch, grit, glitter, and other specialty coatings without stepping into a larger coating system.
For printers looking to expand the value of their digital output, the ZRE provides a practical path to bring coating in-house, support a wider range of applications, and add more finishing flexibility to both A3 and B2 production.
A Complete Print, Substrate, and Coating Combination
Coating performance depends on the entire application.
Ink, substrate, anilox volume, coating chemistry, drying, and the coating system itself all influence the finished result. Bringing HP print, GPA media, Harris & Bruno equipment, and Synergy coatings together allowed the sample kit to demonstrate those components as a complete production workflow.
The result is a collection designed to show what is possible when coating is considered as part of the printed piece from the beginning.
More Coating Options for Digital Print
As digital presses continue expanding the range of applications printers can produce, finishing can help turn that flexibility into higher-value output. The ZRE was developed to make chamber-anilox aqueous and UV coating accessible to a broader range of sheetfed workflows, while providing the repeatability and coating control Harris & Bruno technology is known for.
This sample kit provides a hands-on look at just how different one printed sheet can become once coating enters the equation.
