Paper That Sets the Tone

The cover was printed on Sylvamo’s Accent® Opaque 120 lb Smooth Cover, selected for its premium uncoated surface that holds both ink and embellishment with clarity. Inside, blank pages made from Hammermill Premium Color Copy 70 lb text stock offer a smooth, bright-white canvas for sketching, notes, or freeform creativity. Together, these papers provide both function and a strong visual foundation.

Canon’s iX press delivered exceptional print quality across the uncoated cover. Every detail of the flamingo, from the rattan texture to the soft gradients in the feathers, was rendered with precision. The vibrant print laid the groundwork for an eye-catching layer of embellishment.

Embellished with the ZRX by Harris & Bruno

To enhance the printed design, Harris & Bruno’s ZRX Digital Embellishment Press added dimensional and tactile effects that brings the cover to life. The rattan weave and flamingo legs were finished with xMatte™, providing a raised emboss-like effect that brought the print beyond the page. Feathers, leaves, and water elements were highlighted with a tactile UV spot gloss, creating raised, reflective surfaces that add depth and movement. The whole piece ends up being a tactile dream that makes you want to keep feeling for more.

The ZRX provides one of the only known, practical, and safe methodologies to incorporate spot-UV on uncoated medias. This combination of embellishments on uncoated stock shows what is possible when high-quality materials and technology come together.
