For others, printers are increasingly asking whether an additional plastic layer is necessary to achieve the protection and finish their customer expects. That conversation is expanding across commercial print, direct mail, books, photo applications, and packaging.
Water-based coating can provide surface protection, scuff resistance, and a range of visual and tactile finishes without adding a separate film layer. For the right application, that can mean fewer production steps, faster turnaround, and reduced material use.
The webinar will look at where this transition is happening, what printers should consider before converting a laminated job to coating, and where lamination still makes sense.
